STAR LINEN ANNOUNCES EXPANDED “CRAFTED IN THE USA” INITIATIVE

A New Leader in Domestic Textile Finishing Emerges

Moorestown, NJ, September 3, 2015– Star Linen USA proudly announces that current manufacturing and finishing in the USA has been expanded to include a line of quality spun polyester table linen.

“Although initial color options are white and ivory, we expect more popular color options as we approach the end of 2015”, states Joe Haughey, V.P. Sales & Business Development. He further states “Due to the overwhelming success of our custom programs that currently include select bedding products and various property identification methods fueled by effective sales & marketing campaigns as well as increasing market demand for quality domestically finished products, this strategic development is merely an evolution towards our goal of manufacturing & finishing select targeted core products in the USA. The fact that we can also add jobs in our local community is a plus.”

Since 1987 Star Linen USA has provided quality textiles and related products including amenities, table linen, and small appliances to the many institutional market segments including hospitality, healthcare, General Service Administration (GSA) and regional distributors through the world. New Line of Terry Products Made in Eco-Friendly Fashion

Star Linen USA’s new, eco-friendly Terry Products are manufactured from pre-consumer, regenerated cotton waste and cutting scraps obtained from a closed-factory environment.

The line is “without question the most eco-friendly and cost effective available in the industry today,” says Joseph P. Haughey, Star Linen USA’s vice president of sales.

The only water used in the process is distilled from recycled sources and only Globalization (Global Organic Textile Standard) dyes and detergents that are reusable, organic or bio–degradable go into the making of these products, the company says.

Star Linen USA Announces Exclusive Distribution Agreement For Innovative Eco-Friendly Product

Star Linen USA has announced the development and release of a new innovative eco-friendly textile product. It is truly sustainable by virtue of its patented manufacturing process and the ability to eliminate carbon footprints while supporting a healthier environment.

Through a proprietary process and an exclusive distribution agreement, Star’s eco-friendly line of terry products are manufactured in a state-of-the-art zero discharge facility that produces no emission of effluents into rivers and streams. These products are also manufactured from pre-consumer regenerated cotton thereby eliminating the need for land, water and pesticides.

The eco-friendly recycling certification is defined by the use of the pre-consumer cotton waste and cutting scraps (obtained from a closed-factory environment); GOTS certified dyes and detergents that are reusable, organic or biodegradable; and the exclusive use of 98% recycled water. All factories are WRAP certified. Additionally, Star is currently developing a resource recovery program (RRP) that insures product regeneration upon completion of product life expectancy.

“These new terry products are without question the most eco-friendly available in the industry today,” said Joe Haughey, vice president of sales of Star Linen & Supply. “As an added benefit these products are offered at extremely competitive price points on par with current traditional institutional terry products.”
